146/366 of 2012 (052512) DIVINE MERCY SHRINE BELLS

Finally, I was able to visit the newly consecrated Divine Mercy Shrine in Balanga City;
Unfortunately, the Mass was finished already when we got there,
so we just took some snap shots of the place after giving praises...

And what caught my attention, aside from the altar and the church,
and the grotto, was its bell "tower"...
— at Divine Mercy Shrine, Balanga City, Bataan.

144/366 of 2012 (052312) LONGAN

Translated literally as "dragon eye"
—is so named because it resembles an eyeball
when its fruit is shelled
(the black seed shows through the
translucent flesh like a pupil/iris) (wikipedia).

just one of our favorite fruits...

when I ask my kids to answer window cards
- I always tell them...
Mathematics is only pure practice...
what you learn today will be taught to you
in high school and even in college...

140b/366 of 2012 (051912) MAIN GATE

Got a first again
- first time to see SM Olongapo City
and spiraled up and parked in their 5th level parking area...
and had a nice view of the "Main Gate" of SBMA...

‎136/366 of 2012 (051512) CAUTION

And the construction of the new BPSU Administration building starts
- which has been long awaited for...
the old building stood for almost half the century
and it's just time to "rest it in peace"
and build a new one that will cater to the growing population of the University...

135/366 of 2012 (051412) THIS IS LUNCH

Lunch in the farm is the best
- eating with hands and in banana leaves with fresh air
- no one remembers the word "DIET"..

134/366 of 2012 (051312) MOTHERS' DAY

As we attended the mass today,
we (together with other mommies there) were touched
when Msgr. Perez asked his altar boys to distribute roses to all the mothers present
while the choir sings "Sa Ugoy ng Duyan"...
kaka emo lang...
HAPPY MOMS' DAY TO ALL OF US....

133a/366 of 2012 (051212) PAGODA @ ALMACEN

This was my first time to see "pagoda" - and be back in Almacen, after more than 2 decades probably. They do this annually during the second Saturday of May to celebrate the founding of St. Peter de Verona by the fisherfolk in the community...

We're fascinated by this man selling keychains & bracelets by the Church...

He could personalized what you bought

129/366 of 2012 (050812) KENDING HUBAD

This just reminds us of our favorite candy back then -
the "kending hubad" which we could buy for 5 cents each back then;
it was called as such because it had no wrappers...

Well, this one is fruit candies by Cavendish & Harvey -
and definitely, you cannot buy this for 5c each... ^_^

125/366 of 2012 (050412) SUDDEN POUR

Every now and then we experience sudden pour,
especially in the afternoon; the sun shines very bright in the morning
then suddenly in the afternoon, dark clouds, thunder and lightning start to appear
followed by sudden pour just like today...

124a/366 of 2012 (050312) HOLD TIGHT

Took risk in taking this photo for I might stumble in the truck
while we're on our way to Ambon Ambon Falls tracking a very rough & sloping road...

and this is what we came for... a paradise...

120/366 of 2012 (042912) PIPAY'S ANTICS

I got second thoughts on posting this photo for I might be reported to PAWS. But before you do, please read this first...Pipay (that's her name, for she was born on Rizal's Day) DID THIS TO HERSELF, not once but this is the second time already; and once she cannot pull herself out of the jar, she will seek help from us; the first time she did that, she banged the jar on our door, as if someone's knocking; so Nanay opened the door and saw Pipay with this plastic jar.

The second time, Jayson saw and laughed at her, so she run inside the house and tried to climb our stair - maybe to seek help from Ryza and that was it, Ryza saw her and removed the jar from her head...

114/366 of 2012 (042312) 45th

Got no photo for today,
i just processed an old photo of my parents
who supposed to be celebrating their 45th Wedding Anniversary today
but unfortunately Tatay is not here anymore...
I intentionally did not greet or mention the significance of this date to my Nanay
because, I don't want her to think about it anymore...

113/366 of 2012 (042212) LATO

Similar or maybe a type of seaweed...
it was my first time to eat one...
what's good about travelling is

to try your FIRSTS without hesitations...

112a/366 of 2012 (042112) TARSIER

That's the plural form of tarsius (learned that from our multi talented guide).
It was my first time to see this mammal which are cute but sometimes creepy...
My kids want me to bring home one..

112b/366 of 2012 (042112). LOBOC MUSICIANS

People in Bohol are very fond of music (but we hardly saw a KTV bar, what an irony). In Loboc River, musicians will greet you with their very high spirited and lively tune; but what struck me was while they were playing their guitars, this one looks sad and empty... i wonder what was on his mind...

111/366 of 2012 (042012) TAGBILARAN's TRAYSIKOL

One of the famous mode of transportation in the country is also present in Bohol,
what is peculiar to these, is the structure and what is printed on them.
According to our tourist guide, all of their "traysikol" bear Bible phrases
to signify their love of their religion...

110/366 of 2012 (041912) MAGELLAN'S CROSS

The first time i took a photo of this in the late 90s, the film was exposed,

109/366 of 2012 (041812) TERMINAL 3

It was my first time to be at NAIA Terminal 3,
one of the controversial airport terminals, known for its "below standard" facilities...
but in fairness and in comparison with Terminal 1, it's more presentable to the travelers...

108/366 of 2012 (041712). PACKING CHALLENGE

I started packing;
the challenge was to put ALL my things (good for almost 5 days)
in 1 back pack because we're travelling "lite"
and with no check in baggage...

107b/366 of 2012 (041612) DOOR HANDLE

Our Philippine history was reviewed this morning as we were toured at the Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar.
And while the tour guide was giving us the history of each house, i just thought that these door handles had been touched by some famous FIlipinos and had witnessed all the glorious as well as the most intriguing moments of those who had lived there.

107a/366 of 2012 (041612) IMPROVISED ANCHOR

I had set my feet again in the beach - i love the beach, the boat ride and the sunset; and while taking photos of the sunset (actually it was not yet setting), I saw this improvised anchor, so my attention was shifted to this one...
